About us

Baltic Rail

Baltic Rail is a container-train operator owned by the Rail World Group.

Baltic Rail was established in 2008 and has run trains in the Baltic Adriatic Rail Corridor since 2011. We have grown for 10 years and have plans for further development.

Baltic Rail works very closely with its sister company Rail Polska – private railway operator in Poland.

Our principal intermodal services run between Wroclaw, Katowice, Ostrava and Koper. We are able to run to other locations on demand including Rijeka and Trieste.

In addition to our intermodal services and own terminals Baltic Rail manages warehouse and distribution operations in Tallinn and Gdansk.

Our Koper trains are scheduled to call both Wroclaw and Katowice, which makes some of them running on the triangle Koper – Wroclaw – Katowice – Koper. Additional southbound stop we do on a regular basis to pick-up export flows from container terminal Ostrava Paskov (Google Maps). At the moment, we run 3-4 roundtrips per week Koper – Wroclaw – Katowice – Koper

Container terminal Wroclaw Olesnica

  • Operating time: Monday till Friday 07:00 – 19:00; Saturdays, Sundays and state holidays on request.
  • Max. storage capacity in the container yard: up to 2000 TEU (further expandable on request)
  • Free storage pool for the shipping lines: on request
  • Free storage for the Customers: 7 days
  • Storage conditions beyond free pool: 2 EUR per TEU per day

Container terminal Katowice Wlosienica

  • Operating time: Monday till Friday 07:00 – 19:00; Saturdays 07:00 – 15:00; Sundays and state holidays on request.
  • Max. storage capacity in the container yard: upto 700 TEU
  • Free storage pool for the shipping lines and cntr fleet owners: on request
  • Free storage for the Customers: 7 days
  • Storage conditions beyond free pool: 2 EUR per TEU per day

We are also providing warehousing and distribution services via 2 warehouses in Tallinn (Estonia) and Gdansk (Poland).
