The disruption in ocean services through the Red Sea continues to impact the operation of the intermodal connections between the Adriatic and Poland. The reduction in volume from the Adriatic ports has been offset by traffic to Polish ports and other European destinations. The volume of containers handled has increased but the train kilometers travelled has reduced.
Commenting on the results Stephen Archer said ‘The market disruption is looking longer term and supply chains are starting to use new routings. The intermodal sector will adjust accordingly.’
